50 Hertz Headquarters

The headquarters of the transmission system operator 50 Hertz in Berlin was designed as an open and inviting building.  An external support structure in zigzag lines, intended to evoke the frequency of the alternating current, corresponds to a recessed glass façade. The BALARDO Core all-glass railing system used for the balcony and loggia parapets integrates almost invisibly into the high transparency of the facade and supports the light architecture of the spacious office areas inside the building.
